Recommended. Scales to the statement's own period length — roughly 5–7 days for a one-month statement, up to 30 for a six-month one. A fixed window is either too tight for a long period (genuine matches get missed) or too loose for a short one.
Group size is decided by the evidence (exact sums confirmed by semantic review), not by a fixed cap — one cheque covering 20 bank payments is found automatically.
Always zero — an amount difference is never auto-confirmed as a match, no matter how small. A ₦0.88 gap once matched the wrong pair and hid a real one. Anything that differs by amount always lands in the Review tab for a person to decide.
